In The Blog: Photography in southern Iceland, from lava-fields to glaciers

In early May I decided to head off for a self-drive photography trip in Iceland. It’s taken me a while to get around to writing this, since I’ve also been in about four other countries since. And no, not for photography unfortunately! That also means it’s taken up until about now to sort through the Iceland shots, and make selects and edits. But I’m pleased to say that the shots are now about ready for upload – I thought the day may never come.

Welcome to Adrian Testa Photography

I'm a photographer from the south of England, focusing on wildlife, landscape and travel photography. My photographic journey began in 2006, when I decided to travel around South America after graduating from university. It was a trip which presented me with an incredible collection of marvels, from magnificent landscapes to dazzling displays of wildlife. At the time I wasn’t a photographer, nor did I own any camera equipment other than my Sony Handycam. But I made the most of what I had, in an attempt to capture some of the breath-taking sights before me; I knew I’d be back someday.

Since then my relationship with photography has flourished. Focussing primarily on wildlife, landscape and travel photography, I’ve been lucky enough to visit many incredible countries. I've also worked as a photographer with the Smithsonian's U.S. National Museum of Natural History, where my photos have appeared in a number of exhibits and achieved publications including Oceanography Magazine, and the Washington Post.

In the U.K. while pursuing my love for natural history video production, I’ve worked with Icon Films (Bristol) and Red Earth Studios (London), and contributed towards productions such as River Monsters (for Discovery Channel & ITV), Vet Adventures (for Sky), World's Deadliest Towns (for National Geographic) and The One Show (for BBC).

I hope you enjoy my portfolio, and I hope it helps me spread the knowledge of the awesome wonders that our planet has to offer. Be sure to check back again soon as I’ll be adding new shots regularly.
